Viral Content Red Bull Test
I coordinate media experiments in support of a pop culture blog I run in my spare time. The Red Bull Test experiment was focused on sharing an illustration developed by Tate Srey based on a concept we strategized. The focus of the graphic was to commemorate Felix Baumgartner Red Bull jump from space. Our goal was to see whether we could obtain over 100k views on a piece of media with little to no budget. By positioning the illustration on several key forums the piece was viewed over 300,000 times in 3 days. As noted in the Viral Content Al Roker Test, content can have a life of its own when positioned correctly within communities of interest. In the case of this illustration, viral viewership contributed to a better understanding of the Red Bull Stratos mission and contribued to the sale of poster prints of the art piece.
