


Data Visualization Environment for NASA
While a graphic designer at Valador, Inc. from 2004 to 2007 I created asset development pipelines for use with video-game engines. During that time I was asked to support the creation of a collaborative online system for NASA that would be used to visualize engineering data. Working with the development team at the company I designed the user interface and developed the user experience for the Distributed Observer Network (DON). The system included text and voice chat, an environment selection lobby, user notes, and dvr-like controls for simulation playback.
The DON was created for the Exploration Systems Mission Directorate (ESMD) at Kennedy Space Center using a video game engine to display simulation data. The following video served as a user guide for the DON:
